The “weight room is dangerous for basketball 🏀 players” idea has always made me laugh. Structured sets and reps on rehearsed movements are risky, but 3–5 games and 3–5 practices full of collisions, jumps, and chaotic movement is somehow the safe option?

The Lady Chargers XC team finished their season with a 20th place team finish in the Regional. Senior Kylee Weathers led the way with a 59th place finish and ran a career PR of 20:19. Congratulations to all our runners on a great season!

It's amazing how many high school athletes will do everything but the work required to maximize their potential. There is no special movement, workout, or shortcut to get better. Maximizing potential requires substantial time and relentless effort.

Along with our Front Squats, we worked to heavy singles for Bench Press last week too! We had some athletes put up some impressive numbers, with a few female athletes being just outside the top 10 all time list for Bench Press! Keep building on what we've done so far, Chargers!
