Yeah trauma & cardiac arrests are what we all want to do. But a day filled with referring/discussing people with specialty’s/other HCPs rather than just throwing them in the ambulance & going to ED because ‘its easier’ is just as rewarding. Pre hospital care is cool.

Surrounded by colleagues who went above and beyond the last few weeks for patients. Despite the minimal negative aspects of work, it makes me love my job.

The bit I don’t understand is why no one telling the public that their expectations of the #NHS are simply too high. There needs to be an element of self care first for many. GP appointments are available, as are A&E services, but we cannot cater for the worried well.
