We use the term “Anti-Muslim hatred”. It makes clear the law protects Muslims. In this country, we have a proud tradition of religious freedom AND the freedom to criticise religion. The definition of “Islamophobia” she uses creates a blasphemy law via the back door if adopted.

So change the rubric. The new standard of what’s acceptable has just been raised. Get the AI to write your essay, adjust the rubric so that isn’t sufficient. Move on with your life.

I’ve seen some tweets about AI in higher education, it’s painful watching history repeat itself in such a boring fashion all over again. Update your curriculum to accommodate the new normal, don’t expect students to not use a helpful tool. AI can at most produce average work.
