A previous investigation by @veritenewsNOLA and ProPublica found that the bite mark evidence used to convict Jimmie Duncan was allegedly manufactured. The forensic analysis is also now widely considered to be junk science. https://t.co/ItHIoaRih1

Like everyone else who has argued that the federal government has no freestanding power to preemptively blow up foreign vessels in the Caribbean, I am a fanatical supporter of cocaine traffickers. This, and nothing else besides, explains my position.

The finger-pointing by both sides in this case is inevitable, but it's also childish. No vetting process can guarantee that you'll catch all bad actors (or that someone won't flip out in the future). The shooter worked with a CIA-backed unit in Afghanistan, fighting against the

In a normal world, this should be an immense scandal in Europe. Le Monde has a long article ( https://t.co/YMCO5sHYcL) describing the hellish life of Nicolas Guillou, a French judge at the ICC in The Hague, due to U.S. sanctions punishing him for authorizing arrest warrants

Like him or not, that Cheney lived to 84 years old is a powerful testament to modern cardiovascular medicine. He was vasculopath: First heart attack at age 37, third heart attack by 47, requiring quadruple bypass surgery, 4th heart attack at 50, severe heart failure requiring

A fascinating piece about life as an in-the-trenches GOP operative in the Trump era and the compromises you have to make. Almost all are now fully bought in. But some remain concerned. This one decided he had enough. https://t.co/tT1obwXdTP

I think Bolton's views are bad and his books tendentious, but we're better off as a free society having people like him keep diaries and write memoirs. On balance, I tend to think the benefits of open debate outweigh the imperatives of secrecy.

I continue to think the appropriate punishment for mishandling classified information is the loss of access to classified information, but not criminal prosecution unless the person commits espionage. How did I end up defending the Rage Walrus? Fuck 2025.

The mechanism through which Trump is paying the troops is the most blatant large Antideficiency Act (ADA) violation in US history. It's also clearly willful. No one has been charged under the ADA before, but violations carry a 2 year jail term. Statute of limitations is 5 years.

Every single question from the "media" has been sycophantic slop, some variation of: 'Sir, this is a historic accomplishment you have just single-handedly achieved, how much will Americans love you for this?' or 'Why are the Democrats falsely smearing your glorious achievement?'

It appears Trump had Comey indicted in connection with *leaks about Hillary Clinton*, likely the unattributed sources defending Comey's handling of it, and casting shade on Obama's DOJ. Which would mean Comey is being prosecuted for actions that HELPED Trump.
