Danica Roem's race is being called, and she will become Virginia's first transgender Senator! She was in a very hard fought race, where hecklers openly shouted transphobic slurs at her in town halls. Anti-trans politics does not win elections. Congratulations, Senator Roem!

There is no solution to child care that capitalism can provide. Families can't afford to pay any more, providers can't afford to pay any less, and workers make less than a barista for stressful, essential work. The only solution is public, universal child care access.

Bingo. They can’t win on the issues, so they resort to fear and the demonization of trans and queer people to get people out. Vile.
In Ohio the anti-Issue 1 campaign ran ads explicitly about abortion, while yes avoided mentioning it directly while resorting to transphobia.
