So, today @tedtalks announced that my TED talk ‘This is What a Digital Coup Looks Like’ was their most watched talk of the year. It’s sort of amazing & terrifying. Because this *is* what a digital coup looks like.

Europe today. Citizens opposing genocide attacked by police. Journalists & activists exposing genocide criminalised. Conferences investigating genocide cancelled. Dissent labelled ‘antisemitism’ by law. Europeans' taxes used to repress freedoms & shield those committing genocide.

Australian ABC’s failed bid to defend its sacking of journalist Antoinette Lattouf in court has cost it at least $2.6 million over three years. It wrongfully fired her under pressure from pro-Israel lobbyists because of her accurate posting.

Settlers repeatedly punched female activists in the head and beat a man in the genitals, causing testicular haemorrhaging, during an attack in the West Bank. The beatings went on for around 20 minutes without pause and the attackers stole the activists’ passports and phones.

Becky I'm curious. Do you always celebrate war crimes, torture, rape, genocide and the ethnic cleansing and mass slaughter of your fellow human beings in this sort of language? Or are you just monstrous when it comes to the Palestinians?

Wonderful- and entirely characteristic- Tom Stoppard story. This is integrity. This is how we writers must roll if our work is to mean anything at all: "Steven Spielberg asked Tom to write the screenplay for Jaws, and Tom said he couldn’t as he was writing a play for the BBC.

The disturbing normality with which Israeli forces executed two Palestinian men who had surrendered shows the impunity for such atrocities that Israeli troops believe they enjoy. The only difference: this time they were filmed.

This is truly shocking. The terrorist Israeli soldiers executed two Palestinian men who had been besieged inside a house in Jenin. The two men emerged with their hands raised in surrender, but the soldiers ordered them to step back before shooting them.
