Fearless and forensic, this incendiary indictment from one of Britain’s most celebrated political journalists lays bare the full extent of British complicity in the destruction of Gaza. In a gripping...

It ought to be an international scandal that the United States has sanctioned the UN special rapporteur, stripped her of bank accounts. Same with ICC. In order to defend Israeli atrocities in Gaza the US (aided by Britain) is trashing all legal and moral international norms.
I stand with Francesca Albanese. No one should be punished for reporting the truth. Silencing her doesn’t change the reality; it only exposes the pressure to hide it.

43 Children were killed when the UAE sponsored RSF drone striked a kindergarten in Kalogi South Kordufan!! Foreign powers need to accept that there is no amount of pressure that will lead Sudanese to accept this genocidal militia, it must be dismantled to the last militiaman.

“We must not allow Kordofan to become another El Fasher.” That's all well and good, but wasnt El Fasher just another Geneina? As long as the RSF is committing the crimes the outcome will be the same.

@BriannaWu Here are Israeli genocide scholars who have concluded Israel has committed genocide. You claim they "have infiltrated academia", driven by a commitment to destroy Israel. I'll let everyone else judge. Omer Bartov - Dean's Professor of Holocaust Studies at Brown University

Meanwhile Britain continues to trade with the settlements
Settlers repeatedly punched female activists in the head and beat a man in the genitals, causing testicular haemorrhaging, during an attack in the West Bank. The beatings went on for around 20 minutes without pause and the attackers stole the activists’ passports and phones.

For all the focus on its supposed “left wing bias”, the BBC’s heavy coverage of Rachel Reeves Budget "lies" shows how its political coverage is still largely led by the right-wing press https://t.co/inMaHqW4ZS

In my third despatch from Sudan I report the physical and cultural devastation inflicted on Khartoum by rampaging UAE backed militias. An archaeologist tells me that they looted priceless artefacts and “even shot the mummies” at Sudan’s national museum. https://t.co/yln85i7QBt

No scoops to speak of, no war medals to polish but a brilliant way with words. Tom Utley's two proudest moments from 50 years in journalism are well worth a read..
Tom Utley’s final column is as beautifully written as all the others. Bowing out at the top of his game. Tom had a unique voice and will be sorely missed.

Someone asked me the other day to name the proudest achievements of my 50-year career in journalism. I found it a hard one to answer.
