Our first research paper is now published at nature! 🎉🐭🔬We found that F1 hybrid female mice can have defective chromosome condensation in oocytes, creating a reproductive isolating barrier. Congrats again to our postdoc, Warif El Yakoubi🎊 https://t.co/olybynbVwQ

Now it is cooler outside, we went lab cycling on a perfect autumn day to celebrate Takaya’s paper on oocyte spindle! Congrats again!🚲🎉
Our paper is now published @CurrentBiology! With our unique method to live image fertilized mouse eggs, we highlighted the importance of Ca2+ oscillations in maintaining the spindle position to ensure asymmetric cell division. Thanks to all the authors! https://t.co/NcRddHP4aD

I launched my lab at @UMassAmherst this fall. We study the mechanisms of meiotic homolog pairing using advanced live‑cell and super‑resolution imaging. Currently in budding yeast, with plans to expand to other eukaryotes. #Chromosome #Meiosis #Mitosis

Membrane blebs on a cancer cell videoed through a DIC microscope. What are blebs? Intracellular pressure within the cell blowing up tiny balloons using the plasma membrane. Or something like that. #CellBiology

Huge congrats, Fukagawa sensei and the team!🎉
Our new paper was just out. CRISPR screening with a CENP-C mutant reveals that KIF18A and CENP-E are coordinately involved in chromosome congression. Congrats, Jiahang Miao!! https://t.co/iw2mVVuQa0
