The compounding does not provide immediate benefits. Phenomenal gains are not possible in the immediate term or staying invested for only 10 years. First 8-9 years, there is not much difference between a simple & compound interest.

Nearly first 3.5 months we work for Government (Tax) and another 5 months we work for Bank (EMI). The remaining 4.5 months we work for ourselves.
