Utterly disgraceful way to behave.

I'm just going to go ahead and say it...
University is a scam.
If you're spending $ on a degree to increase your employability, for the vast majority, you're being ripped off.
Experience generally matters more.
A 1 year internship will make you drastically more employable.
Maybe the things you've been told you're "Meant to do" won't make you happy.
Maybe you don't have to go to university at 18, get a job at 21, buy a house at 25, get married at 30, have kids at 35 & retire at 65.
Everyone is different, maybe your path to happiness should be too.

Instagram has ruined a whole generations expectations of relationships, work, and everything in between.
It has made ‘perfect’ look normal. So now ‘good’ has become disposable.
Imagine if Instagram and social media closed every day at 6pm like a shop. We would all be forced to meet up and speak to each other in real life, to be present with our families, to work out, to go outside, to read, to make art, music... eurghhh, nevermind.

The only healthy and worthwhile comparison is you yesterday vs you today.
Focus on that.
You don't lose real friends, real opportunities or real relationships when you start standing up for yourself and setting clear boundaries.
You lose abusers, manipulators, narcissists, control freaks, attention seekers and mental-health destroying leeches.

Caring more about looking happy on social media, than actually being happy in real life might just be the greatest mistake our generation continue to make.
Things you will regret:
1) Allowing your potential to remain trapped behind strangers opinions.
2) Spending more time thinking about the past than living in the moment.
3) Time spent with people that don’t want the best for you.
4) Neglecting family.
5) Never taking risks.
Any time you find yourself making life decisions to satisfy someone else’s expectations, you’re probably doing it for the wrong reasons...
The least regrettable way to live is on your own terms, in your own way and for your own cause.
Social media has made PERFECT look achievable, so now REAL has become undesirable.
Expecting perfection from life, friends, your partner, your career and from yourself is the enemy of happiness.
Instead of perfection, search for balance, contentment, fulfilment and progress.
Happiness is not a destination, it's not a new boyfriend, it's not a new job, it's not a completed goal, it's not a new car.
Until you give up the idea that happiness is somewhere else, it will never be where you are.
10 things your mental health is more important than:
1. Anyone's opinion
2. Important plans
3. Your job
4. Your relationship
5. Looking tough
6. Qualifications
7. Your families wishes
8. Likes and followers
9. People pleasing
10. Being an inconvenience

Richard Hammond will always be a legend in my eyes. Fond memories of watching him on screen at home with my dad!
A surreal privilege to get to speak to him! 🏎️🚗🚙
Honestly, “Fitting in” will make you miserable.
Caring too much about being “one of the guys” or “one of the girls”, kills happiness & potential.
Be your own uncool, weird ass self and whoever still wants to hang around with you then...keep them close and be weirdos together.
You don’t need to have your life planned out now, nobody does, there’s no map - it’s a process of exploration.
I’ve followed two guiding rules my whole life:
1) If I love it, I go in that direction & do it more often.
2) If you don’t, I quit immediately & change direction.
Following hundreds of “Instagram models” that edit their photo's, use deceptive angles and apply filters, might just be the single easiest way to destroy your own self-esteem.
Following fake lives has made our generation desperate to edit their real ones.
Compare you to you.
I learnt very early in my life that Friends are contagious.
If you surround yourself with loyalty, ambition, kindness, generosity, honesty, optimism and empathy that’s what you become.
There are a lot of things you have to ‘tolerate’ in life but bad friends cannot be one.
Unfortunately, the most important people in your life can become total strangers overnight.
Fortunately, total strangers can become the most important people in your life overnight.
This process hurts, but if accepted, it serves to improve the quality of people in your life.
“Living your best life” has nothing to do with cocktails or holidays.
Living your best life is being surrounded by meaningful relationships, feeling fulfilled and living in a peaceful mind.
People really living their best life won’t feel the need to tell you that they are.
It’s time for stricter clearer laws for the influencer marketing industry.
This made me feel deeply uncomfortable. Kim K promoting “Appetite suppressants” to her impressionable, young, predominantly female audience.
I reported this to Instagram earlier. It has been deleted.
Don't subscribe to other people's definition of "fun".
Fun doesn't have to mean drinking, partying and socialising.
Fun can be a night in alone, getting lost in a book, a deep conversation, a walk, creating art, playing music or doing your work!
Fun is yours, you define it.
Your gut often knows someone before you do.
Your gut can spot ego, character flaws and negative intentions because your gut instinct doesn’t overlook past lessons like your mind does.
You have to trust your gut when it comes to choosing the people you surround yourself with.
People spend so much time trying to be more physically attractive to find love that they forget the importance of being mentally attractive.
Educate yourself, address your recurring toxic thoughts, deal with your insecurities and learn to be happy on your own. That’s attractive.

One of the most important realisations in life is that the world starts, ends & is lived entirely inside your mind.
No matter what changes externally, no matter how wealthy, pretty, famous or successful you become, you won't enjoy any of it, if it is at the expense of your mind.
We've hired 821 people over 5 years.
The most important thing I've learnt is that ability and experience prove to be less important than finding people who are genuinely kind, empathetic and positive.
It’s easier to teach new skills than it is to unteach old toxic behaviours.
The older you get, the more you realise that life is about quality over quantity.
One quality friend gives you more than 100 acquaintances.
One quality relationship will give you more than 100 flings.
One quality experience gives you more than 100 nights out.
Absolutely mad.

You will never improve your life if you keep searching for happiness in the same toxic people and places that you lost it.
That person is still an arsehole, that relationship is still toxic, that job still sucks, your past is your past.
You have to look forward to move forward.
Dear A level students,
I failed my exams, was kicked out of school for 31% attendance & I dropped out of uni. Fortunately, life marks you based on more than your ability to regurgitate info. Attitude, hard work, people skills & kindness will trump straight A’s.

Social Media isn’t real life.
Please remember that.
Please don’t allow the false comparison of your reality vs someone else’s filtered highlight reel, to make you feel inadequate.
Disconnect, turn your notifications off & only compare You to You.
#MentalHealthAwarenessWeek
Overthinking prevents progress and kills happiness.
But no amount of anxiety will change your future and no amount of regret can change your past.
The key is acceptance.
Accepting imperfection, accepting uncertainty and accepting that some things are beyond your control.
Nobody is your enemy.
Your enemy is your ego, your lack of focus, your jealousy, your procrastination, the gaps in your knowledge, your inability to believe you deserve more, your excuses, your self-doubt, and your fear.
That's the only enemy to focus on beating this year.
💥MAJOR INSTAGRAM ANNOUNCEMENT😯
Instagram is rolling out a new dashboard that will allow influencers to find brand deals, manage brand deals, and automatically share insights with the brands they work with.
This will be monumental for the influencer marketing industry.
Acknowledge your pain, don't just ‘grin and bear it’, realise that we are all equally imperfect, speak to yourself in a more understanding, gentle and positive manner, and remember tough times are part of the human experience – not just your own experience.
RIP, Mac Miller.
The 3 biggest company culture destroyers:

One of the most despicable things you can do at the gym is to record a video of someone misusing equipment and use it to ridicule them online.
Making the risk of humiliation an additional obstacle between a total stranger and their chance of a healthier life is profoundly cruel.
Everything changes when you realise that your diet isn't just what you eat; it's what you watch, what you read, who you follow and who you spend time with.
If your goal is to have a healthier mind this year, start by removing the junk from your diet.

Stop mentally self-harming:
- Stop putting yourself down and talking yourself out of opportunities.
- Stop comparing your real life to fake Instagram lives.
- Stop using the past against your present.
- Stop telling yourself you're not enough for something or someone.

Educate yourself, travel the world, take a risk, allow yourself to be lost and don't presume life starts and ends with a relationship.
Your life will change when you realise how temporary EVERY moment is.
Your darkest moments are temporary, so you must NEVER ever give up on yourself when it’s raining.
Your brightest moments are also temporary, so you have to learn to live in the moment when the sun is shining.
It doesn't matter if they're family, it doesn't matter if that’s the only job you could find, it doesn't matter if you're scared of the unknown, it doesn't matter if you've known them for years...toxic is toxic & you MUST fight unapologetically to defend your health & happiness.

One of the biggest reasons why most young people won’t ever live their “dream”, is because they’re too focused on convincing total strangers that they already are.
It's sad that our generation would rather spend years trying to impress, please and prove a point to thousands of total strangers online, than invest a little more time into the handful of relationships that will actually matter to us.
The grass will always greener on the other side until you start watering the side you’re on:
- Make more time for good people
- Make less time for toxic people
- Work on your passions
- Be more selfish
- Exercise every week
- Prioritse sleep
- Practice gratitude
- Go to therapy

Who should we have on The Diary Of A CEO next?
If they appear in the next 20 episodes, I’ll fly you in to watch live!
If someone shares an achievement, go out of your way to say “well done”.
If you like someone’s outfit or work, make sure you give them the compliment.
A few kind words can change someone’s day. With all the negative comparisons and bullying online, we could use more kindness.
Spend less time with people that:
- Put you down, more than they build you up.
- Constantly complain about their avoidable circumstances, without taking ANY steps to improve them.
- Always want to talk to you about hypothetical ideas they might do, maybe, at some point.
Things to avoid in 2020:
1) Allowing your potential to remain trapped behind strangers opinions.
2) Spending more time thinking about the past than living in the moment.
3) Time spent with people that don’t want the best for you.
4) Neglecting family.
5) Never taking risks.

Depression among young people has more than doubled.
But are we really surprised that a generation addicted to following fake celebrities, living fake lives, with fake values, while they express fake emotions on fake reality shows...might be struggling to find real happiness?
Judging by posts I’m seeing on social media, Its clear that young people have no patience.
2020 isn't the year you get “everything”.
2020 is the year you continue to plant more seeds, develop your self-awareness, learn more and take another step towards getting it someday.
Taking no risks will end up being your biggest risk.
You have to risk failure to succeed.
You have to risk rejection to be accepted.
You have to risk heartbreak to love.
If you’re always avoiding risk, you’re risking missing out on life.
Don't believe the lie that winners don't quit.
Winners quit the most.
but winners quit for a different reasons.
They quit because they desperately want MORE, not because it's too hard.
3 Years ago we launched The Diary Of A CEO on YouTube, today we celebrate a milestone I never could have imagined...😳
I never ever thought I would be a podcaster or an interviewer.... I just enjoyed meeting people and trying to understand all the stuff under the surface that…
Surround yourself with people who handle conflict with maturity. People who communicate how they're feeling, without their ego needing someone to blame. People who treat you with respect, even when they're upset.
These people are worth fighting for.
@TurnerNovak
I think Elon thinks large creators care first and foremost about YT ad revenue.
He’s missing the fact that MrBeast would essentially destroy his YT channel irreversibly if he slashed his YT engagement by posting the same content on another platform at the same time.
No matter where you are in your life or how you're feeling right now, it's important to know that 3 months after making the decision that you deserve more and are willing to fight for more, everything in your life can look unrecognisably different and feel unimaginably better.
We have to care about our minds, as much as we care about our bodies.
You can go to the gym, eat healthy, do yoga, drink water, take vitamins and go on holidays, but if you don’t directly confront the negativity in your thoughts and in your heart, you will never be “healthy”.
