Shell is reporting profits of £8,200,000,000 for July-September. Your soaring energy bills are their soaring profits. Instead of asking struggling households to subsidise these profits, the Government should put a proper windfall tax on the oil and gas companies raking it in.

Just heard on LBC… Water firms are leaking 2.4bn litres of water EVERY DAY. Since privatisation Rather than repair pipes or build reservoirs They have given £72bn to shareholders And poured raw sewage into our water Yet, they’ll fine us up to £1k if we water our gardens.

Genuine question . Could someone please post a link to a clear explanation of why the energy price caps are being increased . Because superficially it seems that it’s providing the suppliers with colossal profits and a counterproductive dependence on dirtier fossil fuels . Thanks
