I've written for @Politics_co_uk outlining my opposition to the government's devastating disability benefit cuts. Cutting the social safety net will only make our society sicker and poorer. It is not too late to change course.

Last week in court, government lawyers defended the decision to keep selling F-35 parts to Israel, arguing there was no evidence of genocide occurring in Gaza. I'm one of 65 MPs writing to them with @AmnestyUK to clarify their position on this.

Air pollution is yet another example of how inequality plays out in our everyday lives. The Government must act – not just with words but real investment in clean transport, green spaces, and fairer policies that protect those worst impacted.

The UN reports that 14,000 babies in Gaza could die in the next 48 hours because Israel continues to impede the entry of aid. Our government must follow up yesterday's statement with concrete actions: end arms sales to Israel, impose sanctions and recognise a Palestinian state.

This week, I spoke in favour of scrapping the £1,214 child citizenship fee for children born in the UK. Many children have the right to British citizenship but not the funds. I’ll keep pushing the government to cut these fees and stop kids being priced out of their rights.
