@MarkBuffBIP @DrPhiltill First off, it would hard to establish one-size-fits-all for a country the size of the USA. There are regional variations in salaries, real estate costs, utility rates, etc. thatās why each campus is assigned an IDC rate based on an individual local audit every five years.

āBut in the new approach, .as you know, the important thing is to understand what you're doing, rather than to get the right answer.ā. āTom Lehrer, āNew Mathā 1965. Itās only gotten worse since then.
Multiple strategies in math is pitched as am inclusive scaffold, when really they are just poor design. The teacher doesnāt have to bring kids to mastery on an efficient strategy. They can just model a few different ways to do stuff and then say, āuse the method you like best.ā.

One meaning of the word āescortā involves getting screwed. So this terminology seems perfectly appropriate here.
To work on Defense Dept. computer systems, Microsoft engineers in China remotely instruct American āescorts,ā who often lack advanced technical expertise. āWeāre trusting that what theyāre doing isnāt malicious, but we really canāt tell,ā said one.

This is why I dislike multi-tracked conferences. One year at LibertyCon, all four of my panels were programmed against Larry Correia @monsterhunter45 . Heck, even *I* didnāt want to attend my panels!.
The academic conference moved my panel to the same time as Dr. Ally Louksā panel. So not only can I not attend her panel (š©) but also nobody will come to my panel because they will all be at hers lol.

Iāve been to China nearly a dozen times, and nobody ever told me this!.
A fun facet of Chinese is that many city names are semantically legible as normal text instead of just as names. Shanghai = On the Sea.Beijing = North Capital.Shenzhen = Deep Ditch.Fuzhou = Happy City . Americans are used to names just being names. What the heck is a "York"?.

I would be interested to read about any situation in which a remote flood/earthquake/whatever victim was able to receive public broadcasting but NOT able to receive (1) commercial AM radio, (2) commercial FM radio, (3) cellular service, or (4) Internet connectivity. (Or,.
Chuck Schumer: Sometimes "public broadcasting" is the only way people can get information on natural disasters:. āItās a matter of life and death.". The āpeople will dieā talking point was issued over NPR/PBS defunding. Of course it was.

Saw my first Cadillac Lyriq. Looks better in real life than in photos. Wheels are too big. Otherwise, a nice breath of fresh air after all the hulking Escalade boxes. #EV
