"Lawful" but awful! 🚨Khan's #ULEZ expansion may have been given the green light from judges on their high hill but it will be the poor who are hit the hardest. ⚠️Stop the war on motorists. Join the fight back. 📢Share widely.

ERG holds its regular Monday meeting later in Westminster. Senior member tells me they'll go "completely and utterly berserk" if there were any move towards a Swiss-style arrangement. "For many of us, it's the defining issue of why we are in politics."

NIP Art 16 refers to “serious economic, societal or environmental difficulties that are liable to persist, or to diversion of trade,..” Does not specify international trade. Is akin to US “interstate commerce” wh is trade internal to US. In any case… (1of2)…
On the Northern Ireland protocol trade diversion point (assuming UK actually trying to make watertight argument), not clear to me UK can focus on GB->NI movements of goods at all. B’cos not international trade, rather movements within a country.

A great write-up. Thanks for the mention @CJCHowarth: “By MV3, the ERG ‘Spartans’ had lost the support of the entire conservative movement and press, save for some Telegraph hacks and the doughty @BeccyRyan and Helen Mayer of #StandUp4Brexit” https://t.co/ZMG9XuDa1t

Amid the expectation of an EU-UK agreement, ERG MPs will want to wait until we have seen a legal text and we understand what it means, if our opinion is to have any credibility. @Conservatives @StandUp4Brexit As soon as @10DowningStreet make statement, we will expect to have text
