Ask why it hasn't happened yet. Don't have the answer, but I know it shouldn't be simple for this company to exist.

The Bitcoin network consumes ~175 TWh of electricity per year, or $30B/year. Capex is probably another $20B-$25B. Current "value" is $2.2T market cap. What happens next?.

Good, but not impressed - somehow I expected at least 5-6% more per annum. Also, this means nothing if not compared to what S&P, and your industry, did in the same vintage years.

Here are my cumulative returns (including SPACS!) across all my investing activities since becoming a “professional investor”. The first five funds were traditional LP/GP funds where I was the largest LP and the keyman GP. The last fund was only my capital. Here are a few

Was the guest of the Norwegia govt sovereign wealth fund, interested in the pricing of climate risk. At dinner I explained the unpriceability of packages that entail absorption:. "How would you price your willingness to drink from this glass of wine with the assumption that it.

Missing: Oura is not widespread in many countries, including mediterranean ones - some other data points at great benefits, particularly in small towns/villages. Also, wealthy people (who can afford Oura) own cars and drive more, compared to poorer people (less cars, more walk).

One factor is. happiness. How a place makes you feel. It's personal, and data would not capture this well. I picked Venice, Italy (no cars, beauty, great produce from nearby S. Erasmo), and I am convinced it's one of the best FOR ME.

Does anyone have access to a dataset that would enable one to answer the question: "which places, when visited, are associated with the largest average improvements in basic biometrics (e.g. RHR)?". (And follow-up: what do the top places have in common?) Seems it'd be quite.

PHILOLOGY DU JOUR.Calligulilus is small Calligula (itself small boot) in Latin. Calligolino (not Calligulino) would be small Calligula in Italian, but the Calligulino could work well in Sicilian. ILLUS vs INO.

I assume you are talking about Bitcoin/crypto. Agree with you. Biggest problem is that decentralized consensus is almost never used; most crypto is held at central exchanges; most crypto activity is still scams/ponzis/etc. Losing faith in it more and more, close to zero now.

A: we must have clean energy. B: we've developed an immensely power-hungry and lucrative technology that aligns with our capitalist society's incentives to build nuclear reactors. A: not like that. 🤔.

I take the opportunity of this post by Richard Hanania, another perfect low-intellect BS vendor unable to grasp nuances, to explain that expertise is domain dependent & you can't systematically distrust experts. I actually made a tableau in The Black Swan of where to trust: I.

If I ask you this question, and you answer in this way, you’ll fail the interview. The database model is essentially incorrect and does not match the standards in the banking world. To pass this successfully, you’d need to show the knowledge of the ledger pattern. 🤦‍♂️.

Please, apples with apples. Fuel: 2000L/min = 70 GJ/min. 1 gram of U-235 = 80 GJ. One thing is fuel density, one thing is how long it takes to burn it.

A single aircraft fueling hose delivers more joules of energy per minute than a nuclear power plant. The energy density of liquid fuels is incredible.
