A bad day on local roads, with serious collisions and drivers overturning cars on both parts of Old Shoreham Rd: in #Southwick and in #Shoreham. Our thoughts are with anyone hurt, and our determination is to be part of whatever it takes to make our roads safer and calmer for all.

Lots of fun at this event brought to Adur Rec by @adurandworthing. Mini races and obstacles. Last pro stunt demo happening at 3pm, before everything wraps up at 4pm. We wish Adur Rec was easier and safer to get to by bike, but could be worth it if you’re up for fun today.

Got ideas for small, quick fixes that @WSHighways or @adurandworthing can use to make cycling/walking easier/safer? While we keep talking to @WSCCNews, ADC and @tomrutland about big changes, are there also small wins for #Shoreham, #Lancing, #Southwick? https://t.co/DtU8M8Xhv8

There is no path to improving public health without moving the dial on active travel.

The council want your thoughts on their plans to remove the southbound cycle lane on the A23 in Patcham and replace it with a bus (and taxi and motorcycle) lane. Please respond and tell them that they should improve, not remove, the cycle lane. Our thoughts:
Have your say! 📢 Residents are being given the chance to comment on proposals for a new bus and active travel scheme in Patcham. Read more 👉 https://t.co/bAXAUm4YyI Have your say 👉 https://t.co/Rp2FoUD9gv

Bespoke campaigning, over 10 years, for a seafront route. @JoshBabarinde #Eastbourne MP wants to construct a bike lane along Eastbourne’s promenade. He stressed the importance of “developing infrastructure”. https://t.co/tmZMH3Psnv

📊 We love numbers. And we love crunching them. Feed the #schoolrun number cruncher with your local routes and it will start tracking how much rush hour traffic is due to the #schoolrun Let’s figure this out & make the case for action👇 https://t.co/s18Kyj92XT

Who’s seen this cargo bike?
STOLEN - #UrbanArrow Toploader XL #cargobike from close to the velodrome #PrestonPark, #Brighton. Serial number 2007129RFM. The only one I've seen in the city. £200 reward for info leading to return. Gutted😥

If you're crossing the A27 at Lancing today, by foot or bike: The lights are down, meaning the pedestrain crossings are not functional. We are contacting the site managers now.

Great news from #Lancing, where parish council unanimously approved creation of a new path that separates foot and cycle traffic at busy point on #NCN2. Thanks @WSCCNews project managers, and Cllr @dizzymabil and her colleagues. (visual below borrowed from another similar scheme)

Where in Shoreham, Southwick, Lancing or Sompting would benefit from this approach?
This we like 😀. No pavement parking on the northside of Madeira Drive for 200m past the Sealife Centre "to stop damage to the footway, kerbstones and improve safety for pedestrians". Add your supportive Comment to TRO-22-2024 at https://t.co/HVbLw1JFOT
