LinkedIn bros trying to wrap their minds around the idea of shift work
Go to Costco on a weekday at 2pm. Youâll see a bunch of young people in workout clothes casually shopping. You might think, âWhat are these people doing? Do they not have jobs?â They do have jobs. They work from home.

Cuomo says that if Mamdani wins in New York City, the Democratic Party âdies.â No, Mr. Cuomo. The corporate wing of the Party may die, but a progressive Democratic Party that is prepared to take on oligarchs and fight for the needs of the working class will only get stronger.

Donât forget that the talented, dedicated meteorologists at the NHC/NOAA have provided accurate and life saving forecasts and recon data for Melissa while not getting paid and lacking resources due to the government shutdown. Weather never stops and neither does our mission.

If there is a heaven, I hope it looks like this.
A thread of videos from todayâs flight into Hurricane Melissa In this first one we are entering from the southeast just after sunrise and the bright arc on the far northwest eye wall is the light just beginning to make it over the top from behind us.

Easily one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Just astounding. Mountain slopes of clouds, pillars and turrets of them, climbing to the limits of the heavens. Reignites my love of clouds. This person, and the hurricane hunters are some of the luckiest people on Earth.
Third pass through Melissa. GoPro in side window as different camera looking forward shooting in ultra high res 8k. Not sure when that might get processed as the file turned out ridiculous. Barely had HD space for it and MacBook Pro promptly chocked when I tried to edit it

This footage from inside the eye of Category 5 Hurricane Melissa might be the most jaw-dropping video ever captured of a hurricaneâs eye, showcasing the infamous âstadium effect."

If you're the Qatari royal family worth $335 billion, Trump gives you an Air Force facility in Idaho. If you're the President of Argentina, Trump gives you a $20 billion bailout. If you're an American whose health care premiums are about to double? Tough luck.

Welcome, Hawaii, to the West Coast Health Alliance. Weâre not allowing our states to be put at risk while the CDC is undermined. We simply can no longer trust whatâs coming out of Washington D.C. and Robert Kennedy Jr.
Governor Newsom, Governor Kotek, and I launched a new West Coast Health Alliance today to ensure residents remain protected by science, not politics. The Trump Administration has undermined the independence of the CDC and dismantled its vaccine panel. We're beginning the process

I think gerrymandering is extremely harmful no matter which way you lean, and needs to be done away with. It doesn't allow in the long run for fairness, and attempts to rob seats from either side, as we are seeing in TX. However, I do think it's time to "fight fire with fire."
Over the long term, we shouldnât have political gerrymandering in America, just a fair fight between Republicans and Democrats based on whoâs got better ideas. But since Texas is taking direction from a partisan White House and gerrymandering in the middle of a decade to try and

I'm simultaneously not at all surprised that we are well on our way to exceeding that 1.5°C rise. It was ambitious, and that is commendable, but the efforts to actually achieve that, have been half-baked at best. At least, in the US they seem to have been just that: lackluster.
