We study sarcomeres and mitochondria @IBDMmarseille. We combine genetics, imaging with biophysics in fly and human muscle models. @FlyJedi @Fly_EDS

Insects build specialised muscles in one animal? Flight muscle sarcomeres oscillating at 200Hz with gigantic A-bands vs regular larval sarcomeres. How? Solution: 1. I-band titin isoforms 2. Mechanical feedback from I- to A-band. Took 10 years to figure out.
