@SecretaryTurner A model for your work should be Singapore. Over 80% of Singapore's residents live in public housing, 90% of them owning their homes That’s already possible under our Section 9 legislation. @SaveSection9 would love to work towards this.

@SecretaryTurner Regulations didn’t create this crisis. Subsidies for landlords did. Public housing ensures true affordability, is cheaper to operate than Section 8 and project based section 8 and has lower eviction rates than both programs 👀 @SaveSection9

Thank you @aoc for making this so clear. Any conversation abt “social housing” in the US needs to start first & foremost w our existing pub hous stock - & why not create a united front around funding, repairing, improving & expanding that program to address the housing crisis?
