@oldtownrez @DPEAScotland @scotgov @Edinburgh_CC I wished they'd predicted STL users behaviour sooner tbh.... the amount of vacuum cleaners guests have damaged trying to dry their hair has cost me a fortune. Don't get me started on those who complain the TV isn't working - then find out they've been watching the microwave! 😜

And they're about to waste more if they do not act NOW & sort out their botched STL policy which has been weaponised by @Edinburgh_CC to blanket ban self-catering businesses. Human rights challenge in motion. Time for them to make a sensible decision for once! @SaveSCScotland

Asset to the community (we help everyone around us with maintenance etc) volunteer in local community. Zero against but council said in the FUTURE there could be a disturbance!!!

@edin_city_break @SaveSCScotland @Edinburgh_CC Yes get them to register and license. So you have all the contact details. Then set an impossible trap at planning you know they will fail at. Then attack with enforcement to shut them down. Dont worry about black market as that would actually involve work to catch them! #SaveSC

Edinburgh planning reality check! (Since 2022) 90% of applications for self-catering accommodation have been REFUSED (FoI data). At the same time 88–92% of major planning applications are APPROVED! (Ed Council Planning Performance Framework). Policy choice, not planning risk.

Absolutely true, free for all black market. The Handy Hub opened Aug 2025. No licence. No Planing. Reported to Ed Council. Still listed with availability. All happening while the Council shut 97% of licensed STLs through planning. JOKE / CON? #SaveSC
