Very sad news indeed. In the early years i shared the train to @ScotParl every morning with George & loved listening to his amazing stories, huge knowledge & great insight of local & global politics. He will be sadly missed, my deepest condolences to his wife Dee & the family.
I am so desperately sorry to hear of the death of George Reid. The last surviving SNP MP from the 1974 upsurge, he was an outstanding Presiding Officer @ScotParl. His was one of the voices that persuaded me to support Independence. (1/2)
