Gov. Youngkin just declared a state of emergency in response to the federal government shutdown. Virginia will provide emergency hunger relief for Virginians in response to the shutdown causing SNAP benefits to run out starting November 1.

"Reduce annual growth from 2.5% to 2%". I think this is a good way of thinking about it - it's not a policy that will causes you to see big day to day, or even year to year differences in your life. But in 50 years your grandchildren will be 20% poorer.
