During my 1st week as Special Rapporteur, I met with CSOs and States who have advocated for the establishment of my mandate. They have worked to bring climate change and human rights together. I am grateful for all of their hard work to make my mandate a reality.
I am only into my 2nd week of this position, so I am just gathering my thoughts on how I will undertake my work as the SR. I have identified 8 key themes which I have briefly introduced in my blog. These are preliminary ideas and I welcome any feedback.
My first thematic report to
#HRC56
is now available (only in English) at Interactive Dialogue w/ States, civil society, NHRIs: 1st July 12.00-15.00h. Focus:
#intersectionality
in climate change mitigation, adaption, just transition, finance, loss & damage
Call for input - I am seeking input to inform my report to
#UNGA77
on actions to address climate change, particularly in the context of

Deadline: 27 July 2022 (or earlier)
In June, I will be in Bonn to attend the Local Communities and Indigenous Peoples’ Platform (1 - 3 June) and
