Did Kulmiye or someone from ruling party pay him to smear @xisbigawadani as a unionist party - and @Abdirahmanirro as a unionist? Cadaans interfering in Somali politics is wild.

@simonharries3 @MikeNith1 You know that, very likely, Muse Bihi & Kulmiye, responsible for the war over Lasanod & the loss of SL control east of Oog, will loose elections. Whoever comes to power then (likely: Waddani) will likely open new channels of talking with Mogadishu, Lasanod, Addis... Desirable!

@ZahraNomadic That’s not good. In most countries before getting licenced to operate fast food, they must go thro inspection. Fast food uses many preservatives & should be assessed @cabdirashed . This will generate income for Gov & also monitor recipes/imports (i.e “E” numbers which are harmful)

This is the speech of a defeated person in desperation. Just one week since and only a small handful of countries have outright condemned. IGAD/AU kept it high level. In reality, #Somaliland is defacto, and just like DP World, will conclude any Agreement in its interest. #BRICS

@DrBeileh blocked me when I told him he’ll eventually seek a pardon for #Somaliland several years ago when he was Foreign Minister. Does that mean I’ll get unblocked now adeero and we can have shah and talk in Boroma about how much you’ve taken by misleading dreamers in Xamar?

👀 either people are delusional or they genuinely think the laws and regulations of #Somalia apply in practice in #Somaliland . Remember DP World was “null and void” or do you suffer from amnesia? How can one nullify something they aren’t a party to - or can enforce?

@ZahraNomadic Out of interest, who is the target audience? I’m intrigued by how it even generate sufficient revenue/profit. I don’t travel to SL to spend money on fast food when I can get delicious fresh bariis iyo hilib at home or at local restaurants. It tastes better & is cheaper.

I hope it becomes a gift than a curse. @Taiwan_SLD please support Somaliland on setting the legal, regulatory and governance framework for managing oil revenue. Oversight and governance is key for reaping the long term benefit. Without this there may be resentment directed at TW.

@Ismail_WR Agree however lots more work need to be done. Especially in the area of AML/CTF starting with Registrars. The whole company incorporation process should be assessed to identify beneficial owners. Public registers. Transparency. “Businesses” are the key risks, not invidiuals.

For me that’s true geographically. I can literally see the border of Ethiopia from my family’s land in Somaliland. Funny how all the QT have a different interpretation. Feelings first. Logic second.

In the spirit of mutual understanding, I’ll agree with #Somalia activists that it’s #NotAnInch , it’s actually 20km ². I was admiring the #Somaliland coast not too long ago. A feeling that an incumbent of Somalia President or Politician wouldn’t experience in their lifetime…

This is the reason why the African Union charter emphasises respect for colonial borders at independence. #Somaliland & #Somalia have different independence days and colonial powers/border. Respect & recognition of that different history and borders is the only logical next step.

#Colonial_boundaries in Africa left a legacy of division, disrupting cultural, ethnic & economic ties. Today, we grapple with the repercussions–fragmented nations, ethnic tensions & economic disparities. Understanding this history is crucial for fostering unity & inclusive growth.

This is evident from the Somalia Amb to UN who raised the issue at the UN. First crucial step to highlight there’s an Authority other than the Fed Gov there. Any other country would claim its a “internal” issue not draw attention to third party de facto state within its borders.

Great! I'll be sure to attend. With over 130+ countries with some form of data protection / privacy law, it must be a key agenda item of international bodies and agencies. I've read various papers by @UNCTAD on #dataprotection .
