Investment in biomedical research pays dividends. Not today, not tomorrow but maybe a day later when it's needed the most.
Moderna, and to a lesser extent BioNTech, we’re criticized early on for being over-funded. Thank heavens they were, b/c it gave them years to not only do research and build knowhow, but to do it right. They were ready when this hit. CureVac, not so much.
