Excited to officially announce that I’ll be joining
@OhioFootball
as an operations assistant this fall! A big thank you to all the people who have led me to this step; as well as
@CoachAlbin
,
@BobKatDFO
, &
@KylePollockFB
for the opportunity!
Can’t wait to get started!
Did UMass hang tough against one of the best teams in the nation?
Yes.
Did Tre Mitchell outplay a future NBA lottery pick?
Yes.
Was UMass within striking distance despite shooting 30% worse from behind the arc?
Yes.
Plenty of positives going forward for the Minutemen.
Is it a coincidence that this is the first
@UMassBasketball
game I’ve been able to watch all season?
Rest assured I will be watching every game from this point forward.
Since 2009, the NFL Draft has been one of my favorite events of the year. Tonight will be special. I can safely say I’ve never been more excited to see what happens.

@KeaganStiefel
Here’s my mock draft with the Dolphins. Safe to say I would be ecstatic about landing Jeudy and Thomas later in the first round to pair with Tua. Realistically though I don’t think either will be available at 18.

Fitzpatrick also deserves praise for his play this season and how he’s handled this situation. It’s never easy to perform knowing you’ll be replaced. The hallmark of a great leader and an even better teammate.
Despite coming up just short, it’s important to note the incredible turnaround we saw from this 49ers’ team over the past year.
4-12 to 13-3 is unbelieveable progress.
San Francisco should be contenders for years to come.

Takeaways from last night’s win:
- This team has a whole new attitude
compared to last year
- The trio of Mitchell, East, and Weeks
has the potential to be something
really special
- Strengths: Depth, 3pt Shooting
- Weaknesses: FT Shooting,
Rebounding
Former Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams scores the game-winning touchdown

in the very stadium where he spent the first four years of his career.
A fitting result.

@ProFootballTalk
Andy Dalton could serve as an interesting option if the Patriots prefer to contend immediately following Brady’s possible departure.
He could excel as a cost-effective, veteran presence until a long-term replacement is identified.

I had Ruggs as my WR3 behind both Lamb and Jeudy, but with his athleticism he could definitely turn out to be the best reciever in this draft.
Arnette’s a different story. I was shocked to see him go in the first round, let alone 19th. Definitely would’ve preferred Diggs.
@tflood53
I loved the Kinlaw pick as well, especially as a replacement for Buckner. With him and Aiyuk the 49ers arguably had the most successful Day 1 of any team. Simmons is definitely a beast but I’m a little biased with the Tua pick.
Former UMass O-Lineman, Jack Driscoll, heads to Philadelphia with the 145th pick in the fourth round of the

.
Driscoll spent three years at UMass before transferring to Auburn.

Day 2 Notes:
Favorite Picks:
- Willie Gay Jr. • KC
- Alex Highsmith • PIT
Best Fits:
- Michael Pittman Jr. • IND
- J.K. Dobbins • BAL
Biggest Steals:
- Josh Jones • ARI
- Adam Trautman • NO
What were some of your favorite picks today?

Kittle’s skill as an in-line blocker has been central to the 49ers’ powerful ground attack. However, against a Chiefs’ defense that has excelled against the run this postseason, Kittle’s ability in the play-action passing game could prove to be an X-Factor for the NFC champions.
I feel bad for all the Packers fans experiencing this for the first time.
The Brady effect is real. It’s incredible how nearly every opposing team, no matter how talented, falls apart at the seams. Coaching, execution, everything goes out the window.
If Tom Brady chooses to leave New England, would Patriots fans prefer the team draft a replacement or sign a veteran in free agency?

It would be shocking to see the 49ers move on from their young QB after only falling one game short of a Super Bowl.
However, if this scenario somehow came to fruition, I wonder if Belichick would try to bring Garoppolo back to New England.

@FairshakeFB
100% if you’re sold on Wilson as a significant upgrade over Tua, this is the perfect time to make that pick.
I’m not quite sold yet and I think they could find another team willing to pay a significant amount to move up for him.
