Michael Kennelly, sophomore electrical and computer engineering technology major (and photography minor!), shot this using a digital Sony mirrorless camera and the Astronomy Club's 6-inch telescope in UD's Central Mall. The photo shows a very rare, ultrabright flare.

We are delighted to share that Dr. Dan Curran has been discharged from the hospital and continues to recover from the liver transplant he received in April. Dr. Dan and his family expressed their thanks for the outpouring of support from the UD community.

100 years ago today, the University of Dayton was born. From St. Mary’s School for Boys to St. Mary College, the “school on the hill” finally became UD. We're proud to be citizens, stakeholders and community builders—the University OF Dayton.
