It might help if we stopped calling them "militia," an honorable term for the legal armed force of state governments. A group of armed men who answer to no civil authority are a "gang" As in: "Armed gang members march up 7th St. in downtown Louisville."

We exerted power as a group of citizens when election interference using the Post Office came to light, so don't underestimate the power of our combined voices. Register, vote, stay alert, but don't despair. Trump wants you to give up, so if for no other reason, you must not.

I have been in and around the Senate for 50 years. There has been one constant: a senator’s word is his or her bond. The constant is now shredded, as McConnell, Graham, Grassley et al have shown their word means nothing. Why trust any of them?
