In other words, if you start from the premise that the entire probe was political, then seeking lawmakers’ toll records would be inherently bad. But if you view the probe as righteous or justified, then it’s not hard to see why those records would be pertinent.

Do I think players who intentionally drop the ball on the goal line — selfishly seeking attention while costing their team a win and diminishing playoff chances — should be fined by their own teams? That’s actually not a bad idea. Conduct detrimental to the team.

The House of Representatives is on day 18 of an unscheduled break. This is after a six week break. They did work one Monday through Thursday in between, so basically one day on, 9 days of. Just a bunch of regular Joes working their public service jobs.
