Premium increases notices will soon arrive in the mailboxes of Americans all over the US. The average increase? 114%. For some, the numbers are even higher: A couple making $129,000 with two adult children at home in Savannah, GA, will pay $3,150 more per month for insurance.

I spoke to an Arizonan who could see her premiums go from $250 to over $1,000 a month. She said: “I’m not looking for a handout, I’m looking for a hand up.”

Idaho families could see premiums jump from $611 to $2,083 a month if Republicans refuse to work with Democrats to save the health care tax credits. That's an increase of $1,472 a month for the SAME plan. Republicans won’t talk about it but Democrats refuse to let that happen.
