Trucks & buses have huge blind spots. Not many drivers remember it, so Aussie trucks have this warning marked at the back. Also, many trucks rig up blind spot monitoring cameras (as in the pic) for safety. Can't 🇮🇳 trucks & buses implement this compulsorily?

Those 1525 people would have been brash enough to irritate the cop on duty, or obstinate enough not to agree to shell out some cash to the cop. The rest of the Indian population knows how to retain the DL despite multiple serious traffic violations. #RoadSafety.#DriveToSurvive.

"Speed thrills but kills", says the board. So the NH48 expressway in Delhi has been designed not to allow speeds above 20kmph! Add to that the occasional disruption due to broken down vehicles, & no one thinks of EVER speeding above the 70kmph limit.

It's extremely heartbreaking to see frequent recurrences of such incidents where children at play are run over by turning cars inside housing societies all over 🇮🇳 . What can be measures to stop this happenning?.- no playing on streets.- front proximity sensors.What else?.
Many residential societies are designed in a way that kids/residents would've to cross driveways to enter playgrounds from buildings. In residential areas, scan the area you're turning into before turning. You may not see immediately after you turn.

Lapsed insurance is common, but what if offending vehicle's driver is a cop in uniform? This Kia Seltos rear-ended the Hyundai i10 in DEL. i10 driver gets out angrily, is taken aback on seeing Kia driver in @DelhiPolice uniform, who said, "Sorry, such things happen, let's move."

There's a belief by most LMV & 2W drivers #tailgating HTVs: "My brakes are better than that 🚌/🚚, & I need a shorter distance to stop. So it's 🆗". But the 🚌/🚚 ahead can STOP FASTER than ANYONE can BRAKE - by hitting a wall or truck, or a 🛞 coming off. Maintain #CAS!.
