As I feared, the banning of Mustafizur Rahman from the IPL has escalated matters, with Bangladesh refusing to play in India during the T20 World Cup and now banning IPL broadcasts. Sectarian interests have thus undermined both Indian cricket and Indian foreign policy.
This is a deeply unwise move. It is in India's national interest to have good relations with Bangladesh, and cricketing ties can vitally help in that. This short-sighted decision may only make Dhaka come closer to Islamabad.

Have travelled to 70+ countries in 6 continents. In 2025 alone, travelled to 60 cities in 20 countries, including sub-Saharan Africa. All except US, China are smaller GDP than India. Some of these countries have lower per-capita incomes. But not one of them is filthy like this!
