27/This list of "purified voters" will vote in the upcoming assembly elections which will take place in November.

26/BJP MLA Pawan Jaiswal in Dhaka declared a quarter of his constituents as not Indian citizens during the two month verification period for SIR. ECI did not take any legal action against his booth level agents filing such complaints.

25/This is ECI's purification exercise. What was the point of a breakneck SIR, if it continues to produce an erroneous list. Instead we have also found BJP attempting to use SIR as a smokescreen to delete 80,000 Muslim voters.

24/Shanat tried repeatedly to get their names deleted during the second leg of the SIR. He failed. His dead parents are now voters on the final list as well.

23/ Such as the case in Muzaffarpur city. Ward Councilor Shanat Kumar made repeated attempts to remove his deceased parents, Uma Devi and Chandramani Shahi, from the voter list. His parents had passed away several years ago, but he had found their names listed on the draft list.

22/Roving across Bihar we discovered another category of errors. Dead voters that have made it to the list, despite repeated attempts of getting them removed.

21/In Gopalpur assembly constituency in Bhagalpur district, at booth 65, there lives 33-year-old Gulshan Kumar. With all the same details, he, like three other people, continues to hold duplicate voter IDs in the final list. These are undoubtedly duplicates, found despite SIR

20/For example- Thirty-two-year-old Mithilesh Kumar, in Jale Assembly Constituency, had found himself registered at two addresses on the draft list. He continues to be on both in the final as well. This, even after the booth-level officers had become aware of the error.

19/ Our analysis shows that this was not the case. We revisted several cases of duplicates found on the ground in previous stories on the draft list and found that they existed in the final list as well

18/ Previously when we had applied this method to ECI's draft rolls from SIR, their first line of defence was that these rolls are not finalised, They implied in short that all the problems found in the draft voter list would be sorted by the time the final list was published
