Reza is right! Subways have delays during/after heavy rains, and it sucks. I had to take an Uber to a fancy date night dinner because the R had massive delays. Spend money on infrastructure, not on free buses! (They held our rez, and we still had a lovely, if later, night.)

40k likes for this moronic tweet. Non-citizens use a tiny portion of welfare (maybe 4%). And TOTAL welfare costs for citizens and others are 500 billion a year. The national debt is 38 trillion. So no welfare for ANYONE would still take 76 years—assuming the debt didn't grow.
I’m convinced we could pay off our entire national debt by doing 3 simple things: 1. Ban all non-citizens from welfare programs 2. Strict, enforceable work requirement for EBT/SNAP/Section 8 3. Mass prosecute welfare fraud with federal prison time for stealing from taxpayers

@EricMartin24 @HistoryBoomer Yes, nyc is very different from the rest of the United States, both in population density, preferences of said population, and demographic diversity, which is why many of us get irritated when new yorkers assume everyone else shares their preferences and priorities.
