Even as a politics lecturer in a Middle East department, I am lost. Israel has a right to self defence, but Lebanon does not? Israelis have the right to be safe, but Palestinians do not? Iran can’t launch missiles into civilian areas, but Israel can? None of this is coherent.

If only the government pursued wealthy tax dodgers with the same vehemence of @tvlicensing. They regularly attempt to harass and browbeat residents (who have REPEATEDLY declared that they don't need a TV license due to streaming) hoping they can scare them into handing over money
