Despite the culture wars of the media, there's optimism that UK places of work are becoming more welcoming.

There has been attempts by UK govts to ban in 2005 and 2010/11, and both failed because HT was recognised as a non-violent activist group.

Citizenship-stripping does not make us safer.
It destabilises parts of the world, contravenes international law, degrades human rights and actively prevents victims receiving justice.
Like much UK counterterror, it panders to hard-right voters whilst making the world less safe.
I stand by my decisions – as well as those of my predecessors across the political divide – to strip those who pose a threat to our country of their British citizenship.
I will always put the rights of victims and their families first.

So many friends and colleagues in academia have confided in me their paralysing fear of taking a stance on Palestine in public. So many expressed absolute worry for losing their jobs.
Timeline is filled with some of the most horrific images I've ever seen in my life. Utterly terrifying. And what's even more absurd is that taking the position that this shouldn't happen - that a ceasefire is necessary- could end up costing you your job and livelihood

The Review of Prevent is predictably trite, increasing the security focus on Muslims and justifying Islamophobia on the far right.
It is causing rifts in Prevent tho, with its usual supporters (who claim it's 'safeguarding' against 'all extremisms') going conspicuously quiet.
