We have been calling for ruthless, frequent and universal testing of NHS staff for some months now to allow the NHS to return to elective surgery. It is sad to see that the government rejects this.

Yesterday, @Keir_Starmer @JonAshworth @leicesterliz and I, brought a motion to Parliament calling on the Government to introduce weekly testing of NHS and care staff. 331 Conservative MPs voted against it, even though they spent many Thursdays clapping for carers.
