Something I think people probably overestimate is how many Americans go to a traditional land grant university that is a walkable community. Like sure, go to Florida and it’s walkable. Plenty of universities that aren’t though.
americans really spend 4 years in a walkable community (college), say “wow, those were truly the best years of my life. oh well!” and then proceed to buy a house & car in the middle of a suburbanite hellscape
