He's not right. My dad was not my mom's child, either, but he always gave her flowers and a gift on Mother's Day. I and female friends have exchanged greetings and given small gifts, and we're not each other's children. I'm sorry your husband has never honored you this way.

What's so sad and now makes me angry is that he was built up in elementary school to be such a worthy idol. Everyone wanted to write their reports on either him or Lincoln and not the other Presidents. Yet from what I've learned, hardly any were worthy of admiration.

You're not alone, Jerseygirl! I keep thinking I'm crazy to be wondering where the time went. I think those 20 years sped by because we were busy with relationships old and new, kids, grandkids, pets, activism, work and school, etc. We didn't think of ourselves but of others.

This is how I've felt for a long time, Jack. Our tribe, our village, is here, and I would feel like a deserter leaving. I would so miss all of the truly wonderful, kind and good people I've met. I would still be a resister and freedom fighter, but I'd miss connecting with all.

I have republican friends/relatives who have had Covid at least 5 or 6 times that they will even admit to. Probably even more, because they nearly always seem sick. It's unreal, but they will not vaccinate, wear masks or curtail activities when sick.

Our family's like that, too, and I guess it's individuality just playing itself out. My brother, for example, is full-on MAGA, and I'm the complete and total opposite. We were raised in the same household our entire childhood and were very close. He chose to go his own way.

I know for a fact that my partner and I, plus many people we know, would be almost immediately out on the streets. It's an extremely daunting and frightening prospect yet real for many millions of us. To think that people would allow and encourage this is unbelievable.

I'm truly sorry, Ann. I had my dream job and was fired as well, so I know how devastating it is. I worked overtime, came in early, stayed late, subbed for people, did any work asked of me, always contributed at meetings and parties...and was fired for "not being conscientious."

In the last 3 years, I've had all 7 Pfizer Covid vaccines offered. Like you, I've experienced no death, blood clots, seizures. cancer or mind control from microscopic bots. I do have the side effect of peace of mind, though, as you said. I'd consider that a good deal. 😁

Best of luck, Michael, sincerely. My best friend's husband came out to her as gay after 20 years of marriage. Her initial reaction was of course pretty explosive and hateful, since he had cheated on her with men. They are the best of friends now, however. Time does heal.

My folks (heterosexual mom and dad) had gay and trans people over, and I've always had deep friendships with gay people of both genders, yet I'm heterosexual. Associating with someone who is gay will not "make" you gay by some type of osmosis. Good grief, people.
