Labor is not uniformly against autonomous vehicles. Teamsters supported the AV truck ban, but IBEW and SEIU locals testified in favor of AVs in SF.
Many Dems also support autonomous vehicles. LGBTQ groups and safety advocates testified for AVs in SF.
