Cost of living is the #1 issue for voters. Democrats who lower costs will succeed. Thank you Mayor @Jacob_Frey for your focus on housing.
Here in Minneapolis, we responded to the housing shortage that drove up rents and priced out working families in cities across the country by building record amounts of housing, especially deeply affordable housing. And guess what? It's working.

.@DCNorg: if you're going to blast (doc on left) a serious policy proposal (doc on right) you should *read* it first. @ProgressChamber didn't ask POTUS to "declare" AI-training fair use; we urged him to have DoJ defend fair use in "all appropriate" AI cases. "Radical"? No...🧵👀

4/ Instead, the GC focuses on defining what’s truly critical and using #encryption, smart procurement, and other strategies to protect it. On encryption, GC says it should use the best tools and manage the keys itself.

3/ The paper dumps cold water on the “build-it-all-here” dream. Even Canadian firms run on global supply chains. You can’t localize the internet and pretending otherwise would require astronomical amounts of cash.

2/ No fear-mongering. No “Made-in-Canada only” tech fantasy. Just realism: ➡️ True autonomy is impossible. ➡️ A homegrown tech stack won't save us. ➡️ Protect what’s critical. Encrypt it.

Senator Warren has made the case that Biden administration officials meeting with tech leaders was corrupting. I think that the meetings were necessary to govern effectively and not taking the meetings was a mistake.

Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) are important tools that promote financial inclusion. They also have strong bipartisan backing. Great to join this letter with @DigitalChamber, @TheBlockFound, @crypto_council, and @BlockchainAssn.
Today, the Digital Chamber joined @TheBlockFound, @crypto_council, @BlockchainAssn, @ProgressChamber, and other signatories on a letter to the U.S. Senate Banking Committee to call for a federal study of CDFIs and MDIs in the bipartisan market structure legislation. Recently,

AVs are remarkably safer than human drivers and rapidly expanding adoption will save lives. A great answer from @PeteButtigieg >>
Pete Buttigieg said in a new interview that he and the Biden Administration should have done more to accelerate the adoption of autonomous vehicles: "I think there's a potential to save a huge number of lives. Every day 100-150 people die on our roadways to car crashes and

.@GaryWinslett's most recent piece for The Rebuild is a must-read. https://t.co/oWvym1hDbT
I've got a new article out today on how autonomous vehicles are going to make life more affordable. (link below) AVs will: -reduce transportation costs, -reduce the number of cars households need, -lower insurance premiums, -reduce medical spending on accidents 1/2
