Token: INR. Node: Single. Consensus protocol: "Trust me, bro." Tokenomics: 13% CAGR monetary inflation. Supply cap: none. You might not want to hold this shitcoin for the long term.

Gold will continue to outshine fiat because it's relatively a harder currency. Bitcoin will continue to outshine gold (100%+ returns yet again just in the last 1 year) because it is the hardest known currency. While the 'experts' are deep in their boxes, we are fortunate to see

@_jonasschnelli_ @Excellion @Shireh0dl The political beliefs of various decisionmakers in this space are not irrelevant. Leftists, especially of the socialists variety, are more likely to want to take more of other people's money than, say, libertarians. Bitcoin's most important feature is securely protecting

@callebtc Fees protect the miners, but they don't provide enough disincentive to protect the full nodes. This has always been a problem, of course. But increasing the OP_RETURN allowance will likely make this problem worse. It also will increase legal risks.

India is now straight up banning sales of eggs for days at a stretch for some festival or other. Doesn't matter if you're Hindu or if you celebrate the festival. No eggs for you. Malnutrition Superpower! We honor our gods through protein deficiency & diabetes triggers

@Pran10000 @UnderCoercion That's what I said focus on economic incentive and pools/miners. Nodes are relative weak nudge, and were always understood to be such, particularly for filters that are not incentive compatible. (Fees are incentive compatible)

Screenshots below point to evidence @ChaincodeLabs was paid by @citrea_xyz to remove the OP_RETURN limit. @balajis paid Chaincode Labs $500,000, Balajis is one of the main investors in Citrea. Do you really think there weren’t any additional backroom deals that went down?

If you currently run Bitcoin Core and you haven't endeavored to accept the ddos exercise of studying how Citrea works (or intends to work) and observed how they've been buying influence sponsoring events without even a live product, you really shouldn't downgrade your software.

Did you know that the main reason Bitcoin Core removed the OP_RETURN limit was to help @citrea_xyz use BitVM to allow Ethereum-style smart contracts on Bitcoin? Citrea’s biggest funder is the same guy who co-founded Palantir… Do you know what Palantir does?

@dopemind10 No, the state level attack is brainwashing everyone into thinking that Bitcoin can function as a file storage and relay service and then getting the devs to enable this on the reference implementation

Bitcoin is owned by humanity, the protocol developers are stewards, and need consensus from users to change it materially. bitcoin is about money, spam has no place in the timechain. what defaults the bitcoin core project puts in the reference client matter in this.

@norman_pilon Gold linked to blockchain won't work. I spent months thinking about such usecases years back & there are many unfixable issues linking blockchain to stuff outside it @Pran10000 expressed it very well "BTC works because the tokens of value exist only on chain & not outside it."
