Drivers jumping red lights in London is so common I usually don’t bother, but this was blatant & nearly took out the woman crossing the road (who sensibly waited.) This driver accepted 3 points on his licence & got a £100 fine. @MikeyCycling @LambethCyclists @LambethLivingSt

Hi @CityPolice I have serious concerns about motorists running red lights in the city, and close-passing cyclists at junctions and on narrow streets. This is highly dangerous for vulnerable road users so grateful if you could look at it please.

Great to see the new permanent LTN filter at Daysbrook Road/Palace Road nearing completion. Just the landscaping/plants to do now. Also very good to see a hard barrier (bollards) rather than camera enforcement, meaning better compliance & drivers won’t get fined “accidentally”.

Not the first time this has happened. Utterly horrible junction which is a complete mess during rush hour
Can’t park there mate. Yet another driver receives a lesson from the West Norwood bollard after attempting to drive on the pavement.

I'm in favour of higher taxes on bigger cars. SUVs are inappropriate in cities. Dangerous to other road users, environmentally damaging, and take up too much space on our roads. And we make £2billion to spend elsewhere.

Every police force should be doing this every day on major roads
Today we have completed speed enforcement on the @M6tollRoad. The speed limit is 70mph. 50 drivers have been processed in a period of 30 minutes. This is a site which we will revisit until we see a reduction in the amount of drivers exceeding the speed limit. #OpLightning #RCT1

Also anyone can simply walk the streets WITHOUT ANY TRAINING OR LICENCE, ergo causing a danger to others, jumping red lights, veering all over the pavement after a few beers etc
@ediz1975 One issue is ANYONE can buy/rent & ride a bike, NO TRAINING NEEDED at all, ergo many are clueless clowncyclists, a danger to themselves and others.

Woooo! New southbound cycle lane over Lambeth Bridge is now open. It’s a little narrow but I’ll take it over the horrifically dangerous temporary crash barriers which were there before. One cyclist killed and several bad crashes here in recent years. Good to see progress at last
