UK can’t easily rejoin the EU. Tho the economic benefits would greatly outweigh the costs, it’s no longer up to us. UK can however rejoin the single market from outside the EU. That’s worth 3%+ on GDP, can be done in this Parl without a referendum or protracted Art49 negotiations

@PeterStefanovi2 It would cost billions to reverse Brexit now, instead we need to rebuild links in EU for trade which is beneficial to both sides

President Trump is surely right to warn of the dangers of Trump derangement syndrome (TDR), that is he probably believes some of the false claims he made. https://t.co/uW17NTXSe8

Trump is coming after our BBC. He’s suing it for $10 billion, and the Conservatives and Reform are cheering him on. The BBC must not pay Trump a penny. Instead of rolling over, it should sue Trump back for the lies he’s telling about it.

Putin was in danger of failing in his Ukraine war. Now the US peace plan gives him everything he wants — even the parts of the Donbas his troops were incapable of winning. Ukraine, the injured party in this war, gets absolutely zero.

Surely all those (MAGA) idiots will *now* realise they (not foreign countries) pay any tariffs Trump decides should be his trade "policy"??? "Trump lowers tariffs on coffee, beef and fruits, as Americans’ concerns about affordability grow | CNN Business"

A damning indictment of Labour’s decisions. From the jobs tax to business rates bills, the economy is barely spluttering along. The Govt must take up our plans to save our high streets, put money back in the pockets of families, and fix our broken relationship with Europe.

UK can’t rejoin EU for now, it’s up to EU MSs to decide when to trigger article 49, which is the only way back. That starts with a UK government elected on a commitment to rejoin. However, UK can rejoin the single market from outside the EU via EEA now. That’s worth 3%+ on GDP.

Latest fall in growth must convince the Chancellor to put our money where her mouth is on the damage Brexit (and separate decision to leave single market as well as EU) is doing to UK economy. UK can undo much of the economic damage by rejoining EEA, from outside EU for now.
