1st amendment means you have a right to be a Nazi and everyone else has a right to hate you for it One should not incur murder nor arrest for voicing either of these perspectives

Charlie was a racist. And not just the “has some biases” kind, but the “we must secure the existence of our future and a future for white children” kind. This makes him a bad person. I can respect “he didn’t deserve to be shot”, but I won’t accept “he wasn’t a bad guy.”

#Bitcoin is for your enemies. If a transaction is consensus valid, it gets included in a block, end of story. People can whine, they can seethe, they can hate you for it, but they can’t stop it. #Bitcoin operates on incentives, not morals. Respectfully, price me out bitch…

Satoshi solved a 40-year-old computer science problem almost casually. His solution to the Byzantine Generals Problem wasn't just elegant, it was so different from traditional approaches that we're still developing mathematical frameworks to properly analyze it.

During my PhD I did a study on the growing threat of violence towards public intellectuals We invested significant effort to include conservatives, and the ones we spoke to expressed surprise and gratitude that we were taking them seriously and doing real research The peer

I believe, more than I believe anything else, that everyone should have the right to express their opinions without fear of violence or persecution, particularly if they are engaging in civil debate. You have a right to say offensive things without getting shot or arrested. Your

This was a hard learned lesson for me in corporate America Got feedback like "you speak too confidently when you don't know for sure" and I'd be like "I literally said 'I wonder if ...' I was stating a hypothesis my confidence is just that the hypothesis is well founded" But

it is a simple cultural misunderstanding when a nerd DMs w a disagreement abt your writing, this is a bid for a friendly back and forth where you exchange ideas and have a good time however for normies, this reads as an attack. "u are wrong and dumb." wtf why say to a stranger

It's like people saw the EU chat control laws that use the CSAM straw man to make E2EE illegal and said "Great idea! Let's do that to Bitcoin" Guys you could not be more unserious and less cypher punk if you fucking tried You also clearly don't understand the technical

Knots and everyone associated with it is - I feel it is no longer an exaggeration to say this - the biggest threat to Bitcoin I have seen. Probably the biggest since the block size wars. There is zero current problem with spam. Blocks are clearing empty or with essentially zero

What baffles me is that devs don't seem to realize OP_RETURN is already a compromise between utility and protection. There's probably a 100 opcodes you can use to commit to random data un an output. OP_RETURN is the only* prunable way so we make that one standard.

There is an astounding difference between supporting actual diversity & equity versus the virtue signaling nonsense DEI seminars that were taught at places just vying for political brownie points. It was often white women lecturing people on racism in all of the worst ways

An underrated law? Kidlin's Law. That if you write down a problem clearly and specifically, you have already solved half of it. The act of clearly & specifically describing a problem on paper creates a deeper understanding of its components & makes it easier to find solutions.

There are 0 pictures on the bitcoin block chain. Bitcoin stores arrays of bytes in scripts, witnesses, and outputs (op return). For it to be in any other format (picture, video, gif etc), requires extra software to transform it. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

I woke up yesterday and started testing GPT 5 and said "wow this is so much better" It took me a bit to figure out what exactly it was that was better but this is what I came to - it will actually disagree with me. Much more helpful.

This is what I'd expect to see if OpenAI had made general progress on fighting sycophancy and manipulation. :/ If that's in fact what happened, OpenAI made that choice rightly.

Roman Storm shouldn’t be prosecuted as a money transmitter. The only function his software and servers provided is broadcasting cryptographically signed user messages without any modification. These messages could have been printed on a t-shirt. They were copied and broadcast

Can we all agree on a new character to replace the em dash I'm sick of having to rework every sentence to use commas, semicolons, parentheses, or just split it into two. I want the rest of my punctuation options back. What's our new dash-but-it's-not-AI mark?
