Thank you to @Tesco for selling #plants raised in peat-free compost. #PeatFree retailers protect peat bogs: rare #wetlands that are dug up to make #compost. When a peat #bog is dug up we lose the #peat bog & the #rare plants & #wildlife that only survive in these rare habitats.
Just popped into @Tesco for a few bits on the way home and noticed that they have a load of #PeatFree plants for sale. Brilliant!

For the last day of #peatfreeapril we wanted to share our experiment: We compared the growth of chilli seeds in our peat free potting blend compost and seed compost, to another peat free brand and a peat-based compost. 🌶️ As you can see, #peatfree is just as good as peat! 🌱

Wilder Lymington. Lots of interest in our #Peatfree compost @peatfreeapril @GreenHampshire @Transitiontog Children loved seeing our worm compost under microscopes: springtails, tiny white worms & some just colouring up. Hope some of these chldn were from schools who made bunting!
