The Custom House is still surrounded by an urban motor way and there are still FOUR lanes for cars and buses.
No modern city should look like this.

Pockets of Atlantic rainforests still exist in Ireland, but they’re under constant threat from sheep / deer and invasive species such as rhododendron.
If we gave nature a chance, these pockets could expand and great forests could once again cover Ireland!

It's incredible to see how other countries used COVID-19 to change their urban realms for the better.
It's heartbreaking how that didn't happen in Ireland.
During COVID-19 lockdowns, the cars were temporarily removed from this street in Utrecht to provide pedestrians in the city centre with more space.
This measure proved to be such a success that it became a permanent arrangement in 2022.

It’s only the 6th of May as well… you couldn’t leave a patch of grass and wildflowers for more than 6 days before you had to intervene and disturb natural process.
Management of heavy grass areas in 'no-mow' wildflower and herb rich areas at McGrath's Field/ Shangort Park.
Grass is cut and wilted for collection/ composting, to reduce soil fertility and improve ground conditions for native wildflower seed in the soil to grow.

For reference, 12% of Iceland is covered by national parks!!!

Dublin along with most other Irish towns & cities are in a dire need of a rethink & vastly improved urban planning.
The suggesting below would create more housing, more green space & more amenities!
Again, I'm no architect or urban planner, but personally, I think it's shocking that a barbaric sport like greyhound racing is allowed to hoard so much space in Dublin.
Shelbourne Park could become apartments and green space + some football pitches next to the river.
