Did you know that you can sponsor trees or an area of woodland for as little as €1 ? You can design your own digital certificate, the ideal Christmas present for anyone who loves nature? And it's not just a tree, we set aside space for nature, forever. https://t.co/zIAd8ePfyQ

A brilliant day at Ballinakelly Wood 🌱 Volunteers from our Carlow Branch helped build two new growing beds, ready for this year’s crop! We’ve collected thousands of seeds from cherry, hazel, oak, yew & hawthorn — and some will now be grown right here under their parent trees💚

Autumn colours are just spectacular right now. I visited Knockbarron wood as the light was fading to dusk. So still and serene, the beauty within took my breath away. The Gates of Heaven @NativeWoodTrust

These little formations on the oak leaves are Spangle Galls, caused by the tiny Spangle Gall wasp. Inside each gall, a tiny larvae feed on the leaf tissues. The galls fall off the leaf when matured, and the larvae overwinters, emerging as an adult Gall wasp in the Spring ❤️
