Great news - fairer fares are key to better use of public transport. Not a moment too soon either.
Thanks to Eoin English for reporting the good news that 90-minute flat fares and tag-on boarding are coming to Cork this Summer. It's the first stage of BusConnects that will have real impact — and uncovered by my Green Party colleague, Feljin Jose.

All support to a new ferry service! Cork’s water-based potential has been ignored for so long. Great that despite false starts since 2019, this gap will be filled. Important also that this becomes well-integrated with other transport elements in the city.

It’s imperative that we get the Cork Luas route going without delays - and then continue to expand the system as soon as possible. When planning for this route ends, planning should begin for an Airport-Northside route, and others too.
