A real honour to receive the Keith Yeates Gold Medal in Urology 🥇 from @JoCresswell this year at @BAUSurology Thank you to everyone who has mentored, taught and supported me. Finally got a chance to celebrate with my family who have supported me through it all!

I’ve been a Doctor 36yrs & I understand why Residents have resorted to strikes 20% less pay than Drs in 2008, £100k student debt, poor working conditions/job security, higher pension contributions, longer working life as pension after 67yrs I had it good & Karol had it better
Doctor strikes going ahead. A poor decision. I have never striked for a single minute in my fifty plus year career in medicine, and I never will.

All in the same storm but not all in the same boat. Junior doctors are asking for pay restoration - some from just £14/hour to £19/hour. That’s it. If the government can’t afford that then everyone is going to have to fund their own healthcare. And you really don’t want that!
