Indeed, high groove music speeds patients up, regardless of beat perception ability (although it should be noted our beat perception ability groups are underpowered). Once you control for groove, familiarity doesn't matter, consistent with our earlier work.
Interesting data on PD gait cueing https://t.co/3Enak3lb6k "high-groove music and synchronized walking -> faster gait ... compared to low-groove music and free walking ... Familiarity and beat perception ability did not significantly affect gait in individuals with PD."

Tell me your favourite group file-sharing methods that aren't google or @Dropbox. After completing Dropbox's TEN inane puzzles in an award-winningly confusing and barely-legible captcha, on top of a pw and emailed code, I'm ready to try something that's actually useable.

Highly recommend this free tick identification service, and there's even a public data map to help distract you from the constant feeling of creepy-crawlies that lasts at least a day after finding a tick. We got results in just a few hours.
If you're still unsure though, feel free to submit your observation on the https://t.co/SyvJdSZ1VP platform and our team will be happy to determine if what you found was a tick, and if so, provide you with information on the species!

Budget sliced--guess @DOGE doesn't get ROI. "government-supported research from the NSF and other agencies has had a return on investment of 150% to 300% over the past 75 years, meaning US taxpayers have gotten back between $1.50 and $3 for every dollar"

Tonight, Bill C-5 — the bill that allows the government to fast-track major projects it deems are in the “national interest” — became law. No new amendments were added. That is really, really bad:

I welcome skepticism and all the questions. Another concern I hear a lot lately: "It's not the antigens, it's the aluminum adjuvant that worries me." Fair ask. Let's walk through the 2025 US schedule and see exactly which newer shots use alum (based on FDA labels). 🧵
I've been hearing a lot about this common concern: "Are kids getting too many vaccines?" It's a fair question. I'm a parent too. And as an infectious diseases physician who directs an antibiotic stewardship program, a big part of my job is stopping unnecessary medications. I'm

PhD candidate @Riya_Sidhu gets the credit for this study showing that nostalgia pushes our dance buttons in a special way. "Nostalgic Tunes Trigger Stronger Urge to Dance Than Familiar Hits" https://t.co/OIIK0l7VbR via @neurosciencenew

A new study reveals that nostalgia plays a powerful role in making us want to dance, even more so than familiarity with a song alone.

False. Bill 5 permits the cabinet to override any statute it likes, including labour protection statues. Overriding human rights and labour relations could violate Charter, bit Charter wouldn’t stop govt from circumventing employment standards legislation.
"There is no provision in the Bill that would allow for labour laws or minimum wage to be circumvented nor would the legislation ever be used to change that," a Ford government official said in a statement on Friday. #onpoli

Scoop from @GBH: Harvard — in a historic move — has revoked HBS professor Francesca Gino's tenure. Gino was investigated for research misconduct after data sleuths alleged that data in at least four of her studies had been manipulated. https://t.co/3eOMCSM8RF

An internal investigation had found that Harvard Business School professor Francesca Gino’s research on why people lie and cheat was based on falsified data.
